Perhaps one of your parents just had a stroke. Or your wife has suffered from Alzheimer’s or dementia for a while and her situation keeps getting worse. Or maybe a loved one, such as an aunt or grandparent, has been living in a nursing home for several years and the amount of money he or she has for living expenses is dwindling.
All of these situations can lead to nursing home poverty. But, with the right kind planning, you and your family can avoid it.
Feller Law Office is providing two ways to find the knowledge you need this summer.
John Feller will lead a workshop titled “How to Avoid Nursing Home Poverty” on Thursday, July 20 at 7 p.m. at the Nielsen Community Center in West Point. He also recently published a FREE report on the topic is available to the public by request.
Both the report and workshop are designed to help families better understand the Medicaid crisis planning process, so they receive the benefits they need while protecting many of the assets they’ve worked so hard to earn. The more families know about how Medicaid works, the better they will be able to protect the interests of their loved ones when they need help the most.
